At just 3 years old, Josh’s life changed forever after a devastating hit‑and‑run crash left him with a severe traumatic brain injury. He fell into a coma and spent months in rehabilitation, beginning a long and challenging journey.
In 2010, Josh went on his Magical Dream to Walt Disney World and stayed in the Space Cottage at Bill Sample’s Sunshine Foundation Dream Village in Central Florida.
In his early 20s, Josh turned his life experiences into something beautiful, publishing two children’s books—Josh’s World and Josh’s Friends—inspired by his own resilience. Grateful for the Sunshine Foundation’s impact on his life, he chose to pay it forward by donating all proceeds from his books.
Because of Josh’s generosity, and the support of those around him, three other children have already seen their dreams come true. Josh continues to spread the same sunshine, smiles, and lasting memories that still mean so much to him.
Josh first helped Vincent, a child living with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, experience a Magical Dream family vacation to the Central Florida theme parks. He then sponsored Kylie, who has Takayasu’s Arteritis, helping her enjoy a Shopping Spree Dream for items needed for her care and personal enjoyment. Most recently, Josh sponsored Theodore, with chromosome 22q11.2 duplication, and personally presented his Magical Dream Come True to visit the Universal Orlando Resort theme parks to meet the Minions.
Josh continues to prove that the power of kindness truly comes full circle.
