Sunshine Foundation’s sole purpose is to answer the dreams of chronically ill, seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children ages three to eighteen, whose families cannot fulfill their requests due to financial strain that the child’s illness may cause.
Sunshine Foundation’s special dreams can be anything from a celebrity meet and greet, family trip, a shopping spree, or adaptive medical or therapeutic equipment! Our dreamers have requested and received items such as swimming pools, outdoor play equipment, sensor rooms, and many other amazing dream items.
When asked the question, “If you could have one dream, what would it be?”, the most common response from the children we serve is to visit the Florida theme parks. Our magical dreams include visits to Legoland, Disney, SeaWorld, Universal, and more. Children get to meet their favorite characters, enjoy the rides, and take in all the amazing sights while staying at our Dream Village property in central Florida.
Sunshine Foundation owns a Dream Village in Davenport, FL, where families stay while on a dream trip to Central Florida! The Dream Village features 9 fairy tale themed cottages, an Olympic sized swimming pool, mini-golf course, and playground, all handicapped equipped and wheelchair accessible! Sunshine Foundation pays for airfare, transportation, lodging, and tickets to the attractions. Families arrive on Thursday and leave on Monday.
