Bennett Enjoys Family Time in Disney
Bennett, a sweet young boy diagnosed with optic nerve hypoplasia, enjoyed a family trip to Disney. Bennett was born blind and is non-verbal; yet his parents knew this was the Dream for him because when he hears the voice of Mickey Mouse or a Disney princess, his reaction is “beyond priceless.”

Bennett’s Diagnosis
Bennett was born blind due to optic nerve hypoplasia, which is an under-development of the cells in the optic nerve. This is caused by a problem with the development of the eyes in utero.
