Splashing, Smiling, and Soaring: Ian’s Dream Comes True
Ian, who has level 3 severe autism, had an amazing adventure at Universal Studios and Disney World and staying at the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village. Meeting his favorite characters, enjoying the sunshine, and relaxing in the pool at the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village was an unforgettable experience.
Thank you from Ian’s Family
“This trip has been absolutely amazing for our family. Ian had the best time splashing in the water park and pool at the Dream Village. It cooled him down and brought him so much joy because he just loves the water. Seeing all the characters, riding the rides, and staying in his spaceship room at the Space Cottage (which truly made him feel like he was in outer space!) made this dream unforgettable. Most of all, this trip gave Ian the chance to just be a kid, no hospital visits, no stress, just pure smiles and laughter. Thank you so much to the sponsor for granting my son’s dream. This has truly been a wonderful experience.”-Ian’s mom
Ian’s Diagnosis
Ian is diagnosed with level 3 severe autism. Level 3 autism, also known as severe autism, is the most significant level of autism spectrum disorder. Children with level 3 autism have limited or no speech, restricted social communication skills, and sensory processing issues. They require a higher level of support and supervision throughout their lifetime.
