Myla’s Dream Activity Playroom Makeover

Myla, who lives with Down syndrome and a congenital heart defect, recently had her dream of an Activity Playroom Makeover come true. Despite being just three years old, Myla has already shown remarkable strength and courage through numerous medical procedures, therapies, and hospital stays. Her bright smile, determination, and joyful spirit inspire everyone around her, making this special dream come true even more meaningful for her family.

Thank You from Myla’s Family

I want to sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for the incredible gift you’ve given our daughter, Myla. Because of your kindness and support, Myla’s dream playroom makeover has become a reality, and our family will always remember your generosity.

Myla is three years old and has been diagnosed with Down syndrome. In her short life, she’s already faced more medical challenges than most people do in a lifetime. She’s had numerous hospital visits and surgeries, including heart repair surgery. During her recovery, she went into cardiac arrest and needed another operation. She also depends on a feeding tube and has apraxia of speech, among other challenges. Every week, she attends multiple different therapy sessions, and she continues to face everything with strength, determination, and a joyful spirit that inspires everyone who knows her.

While so much of Myla’s care has focused on her medical needs, her emotional well being is just as important. My dream has been to create a safe, comforting home where she can feel happy and supported, both physically and emotionally. Since Myla spends a lot of her time in her playroom when she’s not at appointments, having a space designed just for her means the world to us. This playroom is now more than just a room. It’s a place of joy, comfort, safety, and imagination. It’s a place where Myla can feel loved, accepted, and celebrated. It gives her a sanctuary to be herself in a world that isn’t always understanding of her differences, especially when her differences are visible.

It also reminds us that there are people who are supportive and see her strength, her beauty, and her worth as we do. Thank you for blessing Myla with this dream playroom makeover. Your support has given her a special space where she can learn, grow, play, and simply be herself. We are truly grateful for your compassion, generosity, and for helping make this special dream come true for our sweet girl.”  With much gratitude,  Amie, Myla’s Mom
