Sunshine Scramble: A Day of Joy and Generosity
The sun was shining and spirits were high at the 29th Annual Golf Scramble hosted by the ALL-VOLUNTEER New Castle, DE Chapter. This heartwarming event brought together generous golfers, dedicated volunteers, and enthusiastic supporters—all united by a shared mission to make dreams come true.
One of the most unforgettable moments of the day was when Grace, a beautiful young girl with a serious autoimmune condition that requires regular infusions, learned that her dream of visiting sea lions at SeaWorld Orlando would soon become a reality.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this day possible. Your kindness and support continue to bring sunshine into the lives of children like Grace.
Join the All-Volunteer New Castle County Delaware Chapter at the Newark Country Club for a day of charity and fun at the scramble-style golf tournament. The Sunshine Scramble is raising funds to answer Grace’s dream. Grace, 16, with common variable immunodeficiency and ZTTK syndrome, dreams of a magical trip to SeaWorld!
Grace’s mom explains, “Grace is the only child in the state of Delaware with ZTTK syndrome. It is very rare, and the protein that she is missing genetically is responsible for so many things in the human body. She is significantly developmentally delayed, and she is also severely medically complex. This combination makes it difficult for our family to take a trip to Orlando and Sea World. Grace is the kindest, sweetest person who is friendly to all she meets.”
