Sunshine Foundation’s ALL-VOLUNTEER New Castle, Delaware Chapter hosted its 30th Annual Sunshine Golf Scramble, bringing together volunteers, sponsors, golfers, and supporters for an unforgettable day on the course.
This year’s event was held in support of Holden’s dream trip, helping make it possible for him and his family to visit Universal Orlando Resort, Nintendo World, and other Central Florida theme parks while staying at Bill Sample’s Sunshine Foundation Dream Village.
A special thank you to everyone who participated, donated, sponsored, and volunteered to help make the event such a success. We were also thrilled to welcome Holden and his family, along with past dream recipient Armando and his mother, who joined us for this meaningful day.
The All-Volunteer New Castle County Delaware Chapter hosted its scramble-style golf tournament at the Newark Country Club. The Sunshine Scramble is raising funds to answer Holden’s dream. Holden, 8, with level 3 severe autism, dreams of a magical trip to Disney World!
Holden is nonverbal, but he loves to draw Disney characters and movie scenes, paying attention to every detail. His true comfort movie is Mulan. Holden is excited to meet Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Mulan at Disney World.
