Alexandra’s Disney Cruise Adventure

Eleven-year-old Alexandra, with level 3 severe autism, had a magical time cruising the sea with her favorite characters. Alexandra wished to have a fun-filled stay at Disney’s cruise line. Sunshine Foundation and generous sponsors were able to make Alexandra’s dream come true.

Alexandra’s Diagnosis

The CDC defines autism spectrum disorder as “a developmental disability that can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges.” Autism is a spectrum and looks different for every person. Individuals with the most severe type of autism spectrum disorder are referred to as having level 3 severe autism.
