The CDC defines autism spectrum disorder as “a developmental disability that can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges.” Autism is a spectrum and looks different for every person. Individuals with the most severe type of autism spectrum disorder are referred to as having low-functioning autism.
We are thankful to the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation grant for answering Alexandra’s dream!
