Baylee’s Magical Birthday

Baylee, who is diagnosed with Chromosomal deletion and failure to thrive, was in awe of seeing the princesses at Walt Disney World! Baylee and her family soaked up the magical experience and made sure to take advantage of every photo op. This trip gave Baylee the opportunity to live life to the fullest.

Thank you from Baylee’s Family

“Baylee’s favorite park was Magic Kingdom & seeing the princesses in the parade!! We had a blast not only riding all the rides but soaking in the memories we were making & finding every photo spot on the map to get our family picture, so we have them for years to come. Without the wonderful people who sponsored Baylee’s wish to go to Disney World & for your wonderful foundation, we would have never been able to experience this with our kids. Your generosity means the world to us & making Baylee’s dream come true was more than we could ever ask for. We want her to know that no matter her medical condition, she can still live her life to the fullest & dreams do come true!

The wonderful people who made this come true for Baylee, thank you! She will forever be in all over the experience of seeing all her favorite princesses & the magic Disney World has to offer. For the days our family was there, it took a big relief off our backs. We got to make memories & see the magic & happiness through the eyes of Baylee, instead of going to constant doctor’s appointments & getting a bunch of blood work. Baylee really needed that break away from the medical world & because of you, she got that. She got to be with her family & see the fun & joy there is in family with her siblings & aunt! Again, we are forever appreciative of your generous support & donation for our daughter, Baylee. We hope many more kids like Baylee have all their wishes come true & get that time to relax away from the medical side of things & live in the moment!” – Baylee’s mom

Baylee’s Diagnosis

Chromosomal deletions occur when a segment of a chromosome is missing, which means certain genes are absent. The impact on health depends on the size of the deletion and which genes are affected. These changes can disrupt normal development and lead to a variety of outcomes, such as birth defects, intellectual disabilities, and specific genetic syndromes. Children are diagnosed with failure to thrive when their weight or rate of weight gain is significantly below that of other children of similar age and sex.
