Ember Swims with Dolphins
Ember, with Morquio syndrome, loves dolphins and has always wanted to meet one up close. Thanks to the support of the All-Volunteer New Castle County Delaware Chapter, Ember met and swam with dolphins during her dream trip to Discovery Cove! Ember and her family also enjoyed a day at LEGOLAND Florida and relaxed in between at the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village.

Ember’s Diagnosis
Ember has been diagnosed with Morquio syndrome (Mucopolysaccharidosis type IVA). Morquio syndrome, (Mucopolysaccharidosis type IVA) is a metabolic condition primarily affecting the skeleton. Symptoms may include skeletal abnormalities such as short stature, knock knees, and malformations of the spine, hips, and wrists.
