Eric Camping and Go-Carting Adventure

Eric, diagnosed with cerebral palsy, enjoyed a week-long camping trip with his family. Even with some rain, Eric’s enthusiasm shone as he fearlessly rode go-karts, played games at the arcade, savored delicious ice cream, and enjoyed new restaurants.

Thank You from Eric’s Family

“We enjoyed some pizza, and Eric went on a mini go-kart track with Dad. He also got to have some ice cream with his sister. We enjoyed some restaurants that we would never get to go to on our own; that was a lot of fun!! We surprised Eric and took him to Supercharged, a huge two-story Arcade/Go-Kart place, for him and Dad to ride REAL GO-KARTS!! This is where Eric had THE MOST FUN!! Look at the SMILE!! It tells All!! Thank You, Sunshine Foundation!!!!” – Sincerely, The Grumbine Family

Eric’s Diagnosis

The CDC defines cerebral palsy as “a group of disorders that affect a person’s ability to move and maintain balance and posture.” CP, as it is also known, is caused by brain damage or abnormal brain development and affects a person’s muscle control. The degree of severity can range from person to person and can be accompanied by related conditions.
