Princess Gracey Enjoys Some Time in Disney!

Gracey, diagnosed with level 3 severe autism, enjoyed a dream trip to Disney. She not only enjoyed being treated like a princess, she got to celebrate her birthday too!

Thank you from Gracey’s Family

Thank you to everyone who made this dream trip possible for Gracey and my family. Thank you we enjoyed Florida and the adventures we made as a family. As a parent of two children with level 3 severe autism, it does get stressful and this week in Florida was a stress-free week, and we were able to spend time as a family. This week, I saw my entire family smiling and enjoying each other and we have not had that in years. Thank you, Sunshine Foundation and sponsors, for this wonderful experience and we will forever hold this experience in our hearts, and we are forever grateful.” Gracey’s mother, Kelly.

Gracey’s Diagnosis

Gracey has been diagnosed with level 3 severe autism. Autism Spectrum Disorder is defined by the CDC as “a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain.” Autism affects each person differently, and their ability to function can vary significantly. Level 3 severe autism is a term used to define children and adults with the most severe form of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Sponsors

We are very grateful to Adopt a Dream donors and a very generous private donor, who made Gracey’s dream come true!
