Thank You from Antonia’s Family

“Thank you so much for providing our family this dream trip and allowing my family to enjoy a magical time together. My Antonia had a blast and was a true princess. She loved the characters and rides. Thank you to everyone who participated in making this trip possible for our family” – Antonia’s mom

Antonia’s Diagnoses

Antonia is diagnosed with sickle cell type S and hemoglobin Lepore. Sickle cell disease (Type S) is an inherited condition that changes the shape of red blood cells. Instead of being round and flexible, the cells can become stiff and crescent-shaped (like a “sickle”). These misshapen cells can get stuck in blood vessels, which may cause pain, fatigue, and other health complications. Hemoglobin Lepore, a rare genetic condition, affects the hemoglobin, the part of the red blood cells that carries oxygen. This condition can lead to anemia, sometimes causing tiredness or weakness.
