Salissa’s Shopping Spree

Salissa, with severe level 3 autism, dreamed of shopping for beautiful items, which she was able to do that through her Shopping Spree dream! Salissa was able to purchase new bedding, lots of clothing, and a pair of pink heart sunglasses that really make her smile shine!

Family Thank You

“At a time when things were difficult, and I was not working the whole summer, you guys gave me hope. Although we worked things out as far as the bills. It was just enough for the bills. Salissa had a chance to experience picking out the things that she wished for. And we owe it all to Sunshine Foundation…Making kids with disabilities dream a reality! ” – Salissa’s mom.

Salissa’s Diagnosis

Salissa has been diagnosed with severe level 3 autism. Autism Spectrum Disorder is defined by the CDC as “a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain.” Autism affects each person differently, and their ability to function can vary significantly. Level 3 severe autism is a term used to define children and adults with the most severe form of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
