Skyler’s Dream Activities

Skyler, who has been diagnosed with level 3 severe autism, recently had his dream come true with the addition of a comprehensive sensory space filled with life-changing equipment and activities. His new environment includes a variety of sensory tools, such as therapeutic swings, a vibrating platform, an interactive projector with music, a puzzle board, and a new desk with a dry-erase board. These carefully selected resources provide the support Skyler needs throughout the day—helping him stay calm and regulated during overwhelming moments while also offering engaging stimulation when he seeks sensory input. The transformation has created a safe, enriching space where Skyler can learn, play, and thrive.

Thank You from Syler’s Family

“Sky has been using his puzzle board and his standing table daily. He wakes up and goes right to his vibrating platform or sits on one of his new swings. His room has more comfort for him when he needs it for self-regulation. With his insomnia the projector and music helped him to find calm. Because he has an expressive and receptive speech disorder, he didn’t tell me his favorite, but having the sensory items and equipment has made his sensory diet easier and more natural feeling as it fits into his daily routine and habit. It felt like a blessing to have the equipment come when we needed it most due to med changes and transitional age. Aggression in him is more easily redirected since he has equipment to help calm and soothe him now. These needed items help him in the now, at 15, to self-regulate and will continue to help him as he learns and grows into his fullest potential.

We want to thank you so much for your generosity. This has helped my child to get the sensory needs he has been craving. From the cuddle swing and the body sock for times when he needs pressure, to the foot board when he needs direct stimulation. Also, the positive influence on self-esteem and self-direction his new table, desks and dry-erase board have for him as he develops his interests. He does puzzles daily using the puzzle board and the stand-up desk. He has enjoyed drawing and tracing with his light up board on his artist’s desk. Having outlets of expression is so important for him and his mental health, and we are so grateful!

Having the sensory equipment (swing, vibrating platform) in the house has allowed us to provide him with the input he previously only got when going to a specialized provider, which was not happening nearly frequently enough. We cannot thank you enough for the positivity and hope you have brought to our home through your generosity. He is happier, and we all enjoy seeing him relaxed while he gets the sensory input that he needs. We like that he is more easily redirected at times of emotional dysregulation. We love the influence and increase in self-esteem we have already seen.” – Thank you, Sklyer’s parents
