Brooklyn’s Beach Trip
Brooklyn, 13 with arthrogryposis, went on a dream trip to Destin, Florida.
“We recently returned from our beach trip to Destin, Florida and wanted to say thank you so very very much for helping to enable this to happen. We are grateful and feel so blessed to have received this trip for Brooklyn. We hadn’t gone on a family trip in over 7 years and didn’t see one on the horizon, so this was very much appreciated. We had the best time. Our family went in the pool everyday, and Brooklyn got to go in the hot tub, which makes her joints and body feel so relaxed. Our condo had 3 rooms for our family of 5 and was wheelchair accessible. Brooklyn got to do some shopping in the village with her Dad while I took her siblings to the beach (she prefers the pool), and we walked around the grounds of the resort every night just relaxing and being a family. The trip was so good that all of us had tears in our eyes as we pulled away. That’s the sign of a great trip. Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
