Ivan’s Sensory Room Makeover Dream!

Ivan, who lives with level 3 severe autism, is highly sensitive to excessive stimulation and relies on a calm, predictable environment to feel comfortable. Busy spaces, bright lights, and loud sounds can easily overwhelm him, making it challenging to relax or focus. That’s why his dream was to transform his bedroom into a soothing retreat—one designed to provide a balanced sensory experience with the right mix of comfort, structure, and gentle stimulation. A room makeover wasn’t just about new décor; it was about creating a peaceful sanctuary where Ivan could unwind, recharge, and feel truly at ease in his own space.

Thank You

“Thanks to the donors, it made a big difference in my son Ivan. He was really happy with his sensory makeup room. It made me tear up because every single item I opened, he was really happy, and you really can tell by him hugging every single item. It will also help me calm him down, and he will be soothed by the soft lights of the sensory toys. Thank you, Sunshine Foundation and donors, for making Ivan’s dream come true!” 💙  Ivan’s mother 💖
